Carports & Drawing-Based Packages

Keep the parking space at the centre of the design. A carport must leave room for the vehicle, opening doors and the route into the property, while its roof, posts and drainage connect sensibly to the site.

A place to arrive.

A simple roof frames the parking space beside the house.

Vehicle shelter

Where this system belongs

A carport is a vehicle shelter, not an enclosed garage or a pergola for outdoor seating. Drawing-based packages here refer to the carport and its related architectural aluminum components; they do not imply an unrestricted industrial fabrication service.

Choose by application

These are configuration directions for review. Materials, assemblies, suitability and supply scope are subject to the confirmed project documents.

Configuration visuals show how YULUX systems integrate into real building projects. Dimensions, construction and supply scope are confirmed during the quotation process.

Freestanding carports

For a shelter positioned independently within a driveway or parking area. Mark post locations around vehicle movement, underground services and the proposed foundations.

Wall-connected carports

For a roof positioned alongside an existing building. Confirm wall structure, fixing access and the roof-to-wall waterproofing interface rather than assuming the wall can carry the proposed connection.

Park beside the house.

A roof beside the building becomes part of the route home. Check the wall connection and the space needed to step out of the car.

Linked parking layouts

For adjacent bays or a longer parking arrangement. Show the number of vehicles, turning paths and door-opening zones before reviewing the support grid and roof divisions.

Plan the bays together.

Linked bays share a parking area, but each car still needs room to turn and open its doors. Set out those movements before the post grid.

Drawing-based matching components

For project-specific trims, side screens and connection pieces associated with the shelter. Identify every item, drawing revision, material and interface; feasibility and inclusion are reviewed individually.

Three decisions before choosing a system

Use the vehicle envelope

Provide vehicle dimensions and the access space needed around it, including door opening and turning. The parking bay dimensions alone do not define a usable shelter layout.

Follow the water route

Mark roof direction, drainage outlets and the site discharge point. Confirm the roof material and underside appearance together with the required structure and maintenance access.

Make the support scope explicit

Submit wind and snow requirements where applicable, foundation information and any connection to the building. Structural design, local approvals, foundations and installation are separate responsibilities to agree.

What to prepare for a quotation

Send drawings if you have them, and mark undecided items for review. Define the project scope before comparing prices.

From project drawings to an agreed package

  1. Outline the parking brief

Send a plan, photos and vehicle/access dimensions. Identify the shelter and matching parts as separate quoted items.

  2. Review roof and supports

Coordinate roof direction, posts, fixings and drainage against site information and the supplied design requirements.

  3. Agree a defined package

Confirm drawings, finishes, engineering responsibilities and itemized quotation. Do not assume foundations, installation, electrical or solar equipment are included.

  4. Prepare for site assembly

Agree member labels, packing, unloading access and the installation information to accompany the confirmed package.
