Railings, Fences & Garden Gates

A balcony edge, a garden boundary and an entrance gate have different jobs. Define the location first, then coordinate the infill pattern, posts, handrails and access points without assuming that one detail fits every use.

The garden begins here.

Bronze lines trace the boundary. A gate marks the way in.

Edges & boundaries

Where this system belongs

Railings protect exposed edges; fences define a site boundary; garden gates provide access through that boundary. A decorative fence is not automatically suitable as a balcony guard. This group does not form a building’s weather enclosure.

Choose by application

These are configuration directions for review. Materials, assemblies, suitability and supply scope are subject to the confirmed project documents.

Configuration visuals show how YULUX systems integrate into real building projects. Dimensions, construction and supply scope are confirmed during the quotation process.

Balcony & terrace railings

For exposed edges around terraces and balconies. Select the visual direction—pickets, panels or glazing for review—alongside the edge condition, post layout and waterproofing interface.

Keep the view in mind.

The edge of a balcony is part of the view from the room. Consider the glass divisions and frame lines alongside the fixing conditions.

Stair & ramp handrails

For changes in level and circulation routes. Show slope, landings, returns and start/end points so that handrail continuity and fixing positions can be reviewed.

Boundary fences & privacy screens

For gardens, courtyards and perimeter lines. Compare open pickets, slats and more enclosed infill by visibility and privacy needs; confirm corners, stepped ground and exposure.

Decide what stays in view.

Horizontal slats frame a quiet courtyard. Choose how much of the garden stays in view.

Garden & pedestrian gates

For controlled entry through a fence line. Mark clear passage, swing or sliding direction, latch and lock preferences. Motorization or access control is a separate scope to confirm, not a default inclusion.

Three decisions before choosing a system

State the safety function

Identify whether each run is a guard, handrail, boundary fence or decorative screen. Send applicable height, spacing, loading and access requirements for the local project review.

Check the base before the finish

Provide slab edges, walls, existing posts and waterproofing details. Fixing from above or from the side changes the interface; the finished paving alone does not describe the structural support.

Coordinate privacy and movement

Show the view you want to keep or screen, plus gate clearances and ground levels. Confirm material and finish combinations, including any glazing, before comparing quotations.

What to prepare for a quotation

Send drawings if you have them, and mark undecided items for review. Define the project scope before comparing prices.

From project drawings to an agreed package

  1. Map runs and openings

Number each straight run, corner, stair section and gate on a plan. Mark its intended use.

  2. Review infill and fixings

Coordinate post positions, base details, privacy direction and gate movement with the project requirements.

  3. Agree the details

Confirm drawings, finish references, hardware and quotation inclusions. Local compliance and required engineering must be resolved before ordering.

  4. Prepare the site handover

Agree labels, packing and fitting scope, including which anchors, gate hardware and installation details are included.
